A real taste of traditional Northern hospitality. A beautiful welcoming roaring fire awaited us on our arrival.
The staff were all friendly, approachable and welcoming, by the end of our three day stay we knew all by their first name.
Food was generously portioned and cooked to perfection, the hotel rooms were indeed luxurious and clean, comfortable beds and plenty of hot water.
All in all Slyne Lodge has got it just right, maintaining tradition with a warm friendly staff team.
I will not hesitate to stay there again, and highly recommend it to others.

You can stay at a characterless budget motel and eat Little Chef style mush, or you can pick a place like Slyne Lodge which has vastly better rooms in a separate block behind a friendly pub serving good food, all for about the same amount... As a stop over on our way further north we were very happy with our experience.

All the staff were polite and helpful the food was good pub grub.

Great little lodge easy to find with warm welcome from the hosts. My room was on the bottom floor of the converted stables and was a good size with a lovely new bathroom. Nicely decorated with personal touches.
Food was great - dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast was made to order.... would definitely stay there again in the future.
